Changed Lives

Across college campuses, God is on the move, and lives are being changed for all eternity. Through the faithful support of friends like YOU, ministries like ours at Del Val University, Gwynedd Mercy University, Montco, and Chestnut Hill College are making a difference. The secret is our student leaders. We inspire, encourage, and train them to be the hands and feet of Jesus wherever they go. I have some who are on the Student Council, in the agriculture fraternity, football team, softball team, and some who are resident assistants. Each week wherever they are, they are meeting new students and introducing them to Jesus.

This semester, we were able to lead weekly bible studies, outreach evangelism tables, prayer groups, small groups, and character talks for the men's lacrosse team at Chestnut Hill College. Students came looking for truth, community, purpose, clarity, hope, and friendship... we introduced them to Jesus. We had several student leaders graduate so there will be big shoes to fill next semester. We will miss the seniors and the transfer students but God is faithful and He is already working on the next group of student leaders that will replace them.

A couple of my highlights of this semester include our Sight & Sound theatre trip, our spring break mission trip, standing on the sidelines at lacrosse games, and leading small groups through the book of Colossians and Philippians. My all-time favorite was a baptism service we did at the end of semester at Del Val University. This is the ultimate goal of what changed lives looks like, entering the water of baptism.

This summer, we have a college group that meets in my backyard for Bonfire and Bible study. Students from our local colleges who are around for the summer attend, as well as students who are just home for the summer. We looked at John 15:5 last week, "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit." It is tough to "remain" or "abide," but with a less demanding summer schedule hopefully we will have students resting in Jesus and bearing much fruit. This generation needs more fruit, like salvations, baptisms, restored relationships, and bold witnesses for Jesus.

Thanks so much for your continued prayers and generous financial support. God is changing lives on the college campus. Thank you for being a vital part of the mission. Every time you pass a college or university please keep us in your prayers, especially for our student leaders in the fall of 2025.

On a personal note, we have another college graduate in the family. Jackson graduated from Temple's Fox School of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Risk Management and Insurance. He will be working on the Ocean City Beach Patrol in the summer and then at Connor, Strong, and Buckelew in the fall. We have prayed another child through college. We are so thankful and proud!

Ways to Connect and Support

  • This is a way you can keep up to date with college events and pray for them, as they happen.

  • This will give you access to the blog and picture archives.

  • Giving and seeing the great things God is doing on the college campus is a blessing.

  • If you are a current partner, thanks so much!

  • If you are not, please pray about supporting us monthly (anywhere from $25-$100 a month).

  • Invite your small group or Sunday school class at church to adopt a campus ministry (Delaware Valley University, Gwynedd Mercy University, Chestnut Hill College, or Montgomery County Community College). We can set up a time to prayer walk a campus, meet students, host a dinner, or support an upcoming outreach event.  Just let us know where you want to direct your focus.
