It's simply a God thing...

Dear Family and Friends,

As this fall semester comes to a close, I want to share something with you that I can only describe in one way: It's simply a God thing.

There is no other explanation for what we're seeing on college campuses in and around Greater Philadelphia. In a region known for spiritual skepticism, intense academic pressure, and numerous opportunities for partying, God is moving in ways that none of us could have imagined.

Students are hungry for the truth...

Ephesians 3:20-21: "Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations..."

We are meeting students who walk into our weekly gatherings saying, "I don't even know why I'm here, but something told me to come." That is not the result of a well-done flyer hanging on the wall. It is a God thing.

We have seen more open spiritual conversations this semester than in past years combined. Students are asking real, vulnerable questions: How do I find purpose? What is God's will for my life? Who is Jesus? What do I do with my anxiety? No one can orchestrate moments like these. It's a God thing.

We have students that would never go to church, come to our bible studies...

Students that would never pursue godly things, having Gospel conversations with us...

Football players who have never owned a bible, reading it daily...

And yes—students giving their lives to Jesus on campuses once considered “too difficult,” “too secular,” or “too far from the Gospel.”

Again, this is not the result of human effort alone.

It’s simply a God thing.

As we approach the end of the year, I’m inviting you to join in what God is clearly doing on the campus. I want to thank those of you who are supporters or partners with us through the North American Mission Board (NAMB). Your generosity helps us stay active on the college campus, where we engage the next generation with the love of Jesus. We cannot do this work without partners who believe that God is writing stories on these campuses that will echo for eternity.

Would you prayerfully consider a #GivingTuesday or Year-End gift?  All gifts are tax-deductible and go directly to the college campus ministry.

Your gifts fund: Gospel conversations, outreach events, discipleship, Bibles and resources, leadership development, mission trips and retreats, and long-term transformation on campus. Every story this year—every salvation, every baptism, every moment of breakthrough—has been a God thing. And your generosity helped make it possible.

Let’s Finish the Year Strong

We believe God is not finished with the campuses of Greater Philadelphia. In fact, we believe the best stories are still ahead. Thank you for standing with us, praying for us, and investing in the next generation.

"Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. II Corinthians 9:7

"He (Jesus) told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."  Luke 10:2

Blessings,

Brady Rennix (Collegiate Missionary/Minister, Greater Philadelphia)
