Spring has finally Sprung (a leak that is) in the Greater Philadelphia area (Montgomery, Bucks, and Philadelphia Counties): We have had rain for days. As I write this, we just experienced a rare 4.8 earthquake. This Monday we are going to be watching the eclipse. Crazy, but exciting times.

Thanks for your support and partnership! Because of your generosity, we are able to train and equip college students to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

"Remember this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously...God loves a cheerful giver." - I Corinthians 9:6b-7a

Ministry Updates

March has strengthened us a stretched us in so many ways:

We had the opportunity to spend time with Josh Noble, a missions mobilizer with The Nehemiah Team (IMB). Josh shared the many aspects of international and domestic missions. He taught us what it means to be a World Christian by first being believers who understand God’s heart for the world and desire to reach all people. Second, by living our lives in such a way that wherever we are and whatever we do, we are working to see Christ glorified among the nations.

Did you know of the 8 billion people in the world, with 195 countries and 7,000 languages, over half of them have not heard the Gospel? We want to be mission-minded on the college campus. We want to turn students into career missionaries sent to the utmost parts of the earth.

"A great multitude from every nation knowing and worshiping Jesus.” - Revelation 7:9

We led a Spring Break Alternative Missions Trip to Pittsburgh, PA. Fourteen of us drove across the state and met with other college groups. We were able to serve at several nonprofits.

First, we served with the Foster Love Project, which helps to provide a broad range of supplies for kids in foster care and supports families that provide care. Then, we served with Eden’s farm which helps survivors of human trafficking by providing care and transitional housing. Lastly, we served at the Light of Life Rescue Mission, which is a homeless shelter, soup kitchen, rehab, and rescue center.

I was able to serve at the Light of Life Rescue Mission and let me tell you, they are the hands, feet, and love of Christ to the hurting in Pittsburgh. We were able to serve alongside some residents who came out of the most difficult of circumstances but were beaming with the light of Jesus.

Our college students spent their free time playing wiffleball and frisbee, sightseeing on Mt. Washington, and walking around the University of Pittsburgh campus. We also were able to do some “tabling” while we were there, sharing the Gospel through free coffee, gift bags, stickers, and Soularium conversations.

"Jesus replied, “Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.” - Matthew 25:45

We had a student who gave her life to Jesus a year ago at Del Val University get baptized this month! We gave away many New Believer and Athletic Bibles.

We studied the book of I Thessalonians through the last month or so, covering topics including the following:

  • How to turn the world upside down

  • Walking in a manner worthy of our calling

  • Becoming a culture that cares

  • How does our sex life play into our sanctification

  • And more...

Our Montco College group had a fun night bowling together at Our Town Alley in East Norriton. Lots of gutter balls and new friendships formed.

Next month two of our campus groups have P.A. State Park hikes planned.

Ways to Connect and Support

  • This is a way you can keep up to date with college events and pray for them, as they happen.

  • This will give you access to the blog and picture archives.

  • Giving and seeing the great things God is doing on the college campus is a blessing.

  • If you are a current partner, thanks so much!

  • If you are not, please pray about supporting us monthly (anywhere from $25-$100 a month).

  • Invite your small group or Sunday school class at church to adopt a campus ministry (Delaware Valley University, Gwynedd Mercy University, Chestnut Hill College, or Montgomery County Community College). We can set up a time to prayer walk a campus, meet students, host a dinner, or support an upcoming outreach event.  Just let us know where you want to direct your focus.
