A New Work

God is doing a New Work and we are filled with joy to be a part of it!

To use a quote from the book Experiencing God, "God is always working, we just have to discern where and join Him.”  Years ago, I was prayer-walking a college in Greater Philadelphia, acting on this quote from Henry Blackaby and asking God where he would have us go next. I had several meetings with the college administration. I was ready to start a bible study and shuttle students to church each Sunday. However, the admin pulled the plug on it at the last minute. They said we couldn’t meet on campus due to theological differences. 

This fall we wanted to restart our work at Gwynedd Mercy University, but they closed the campus to visitors due to Covid restrictions. When a door closes, look for a window. God just happened to be working through a baseball player at Chestnut Hill College. He and I have been meeting since the start of the semester. We prayed and asked God to point us in the right direction. Last week we met with a former FCA guy who just happens to be the coach of the CHC Lacrosse team. Coach Mike said he would love for us to meet with the team each week and could we start in October. So here we are, praying again and asking you to join us as we start a combined Baseball/Lacrosse weekly bible study for these young men at CHC!  

In John 5:17, Jesus says, “My Father is always at work to this very day, and I too am working.”
