Cause that is just the kind of God you are - 2022 Highlight Story

Have you ever heard a song that encapsulated your mood, your season, your life? Josh Baldwin and the Messengers wrote a song that did this for me called, “God You Are.” I encourage you to Google it and see if you can relate. Here are a few of the opening lines….

This was true of me, my senior year of high school God put a calling on my life that I could not shake: reaching teens and college students with the Gospel. He did such a work in my life that my only response was to share this hope and joy of Jesus with others. 

2022 was a great year of missions/ministry on the local college campus in the Greater Philadelphia Area. We are not where we were pre-pandemic but the momentum is shifting. I want to say none of this is possible without a massive supporting cast of college coaches, academic advisors, Christian teachers, prayer team, evangelists, student leaders, and generous partners with a mission’s heart just like you.

Weekly Campus ministries are available at Delaware Valley University, Chestnut Hill College, Gwynedd Mercy University, and Montgomery County Community College. Bible studies, prayer & worship, outreach & evangelism, character studies for sports teams, community building events, and free stuff giveaways were just a few things we were doing.

• Alternative spring break trip serving flood victims in York, PA with disaster relief work

• Ukrainian Refugee Collection Drive at Montco

• Summer bonfire and Bible studies

• Pre-game football chapels at Del Val (DVU won the Mac League for the fifth time)

• Pick up volleyball & art table outreach at Montco

• Combined Fall Retreat at Camp Hebron with Baptist Resource Network

• Working with the men’s Lacrosse team at Chestnut Hill college

• Epic Christmas Party at Montco with the President of the college attending

• Gospel conversations every day. Rejoicing with the 11 students that gave their lives to Jesus this year and so thankful for George Loper who serves faithfully at Montco each week

• Having student leaders lead their bible study groups faithfully for their peers
  

We could go on and on... So many students turning their lives around “because that is just the kind of God you are." 

We look forward to 2023 and will continue to need your prayers, support, and partnership. Over 15,000 college students are on just the 4 universities we are on, not to mention the 200,000+ in Greater Philadelphia alone.
