When engaging students on the college campus, we are constantly assessing where students are in college, in their faith, or just life in general. The key is to hear them out and when they are finished, give them some faith, hope and love. Of course, Jesus did this the best.
In John Chapter 11, Mary and Martha's brother Lazarus had died. They, naturally in the midst of grief, were thinking that Jesus was too late. He wasn't there when they needed him the most. Martha says to him, "Lord, if only you had been here, my brother would not have died." Jesus tells her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying." He then goes to the tomb and says, "Lazarus come forth," and Lazarus does come forth, back from the dead.
Jesus does this in our lives too, if we just "Believe" in him. If you have breath, it is not too late. "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved." (Acts 16:31). I love being the one that gets to share this incredible news. Jesus loves us so much. Jesus restores us back from being spiritually dead and gives us life with him in heaven for all eternity.
