God’s Truth and Love on the College Campus

When it comes to evangelism on the college campus we go with the Truth and Love model. We share the truth of God’s love only after we have loved on the student in one way or another. After our first interaction, we build on that with conversation and then relationship. We want to earn the opportunity to share Jesus.
Every Wednesday at Montco we do weekly Sports Outreach and something new, an Art Therapy table. This goes along with the water bottle and granola bar giveaways or the Gatorade giveaway for the college sports teams. We want the reputation of love and care for students on the campus so we can make Jesus’ love known.
This reminds me of John chapter 1:43-46, "The next day Jesus decided to go to Galilee. He found Philip and said to him, “Follow me.” Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found him of whom Moses in the Law and also the prophets wrote, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.”
The natural succession is one of relationships: they ask the question, is this the Messiah, and Nathaniel simply says, “Come and see.” That is our goal as Christians, to invite those that we care about to come and see that Jesus is our Lord and Savior.
Please pray with me for students on the colleges and universities in Greater Philadelphia.
Thanks for your care and partnership in sharing the love of Jesus!
