I am so thankful for your partnership in reaching students for Jesus on the college campus. What better way to say thanks than some Johnson’s Popcorn - a Greater Philadelphia Treat since the 1940’s. Be careful, it’s addictive!!!

And then the Pandemic...
As we were going to Spring Break, we had an Appalachia (poverty relief) trip planned and unfortunately everything shut down. All of our on-campus plans were cancelled and our classes moved online. MCCC became a COVID Test Center by the PA National Guard. We quickly moved our ministry online, continuing to do worship, bible study and discipleship via Zoom. We realized students (mostly internationals) were without food so God empowered us to facilitate two food drives. Also, we were able to make support signs around the college that encouraged the medics and those suffering with the virus know that we were praying for them. The president of the college personally sent me an email thanking us for the signs we made (mostly bible verses) and the local news channel highlighted them every week during the COVID-19 updates. It reminds me of Romans 15:13 where Paul wrote, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” Our message of hope, joy and peace became so much louder due to the pandemic. We were able to reach students, medics, guardsmen, faculty and even the community.
So what are the plans for the future?
Unfortunately, Montgomery County Community and Gwynedd Mercy University are staying online in the fall, but the sports teams are still happening. We are looking to do our weekly gathering either on zoom or outside/offsite in a socially distanced way. Our primary focus will be reaching the athletes that are on the campus daily. Secondly, we are prayerfully considering a new campus ministry at Delaware Valley University. Del Val is going to have students on-campus, so we will serve alongside a campus ministry that I started years ago. This is a big deal and will require a lot of prayer and new support partnerships. Del Val has about 2,400 students on their campus.
