It is with great power from the Holy Spirit that we step on the local college/university campus at
the beginning of each semester. In Joshua 1:3, God tells Joshua as he enters the promised land that every place his foot touches God has given him…. it was still enemy land at this point, but God promised the victory. We are stepping on the campus knowing that the enemy is already there trying to kill, steal, and destroy lives. We are taking them back in Jesus name. We want to restore what has been taken. We share with students the love of Jesus, we build biblical community for them to grow in, and encourage them through small group discipleship.
I have been on three campuses this week: a Catholic University, a Jewish University, and a Community College. Each one has its strengths and weaknesses, its challenges and it’s opportunities. It is exciting to not only speak God’s word into the college football team every week, but to stand shoulder to shoulder with them on the sidelines of each game. Likewise, it is exciting to engage students at Gwynedd Mercy University campus and to disciple and train student leaders at MontCo, so they reach their friends with the Gospel.
Thanks for your prayers and support, they are truly making a difference in the hearts and lives of students in Greater Philadelphia. Keep Joshua 1:3 ("I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses.”) In mind as you pray for us. Let us know how we can pray for you. Also, below is a picture of an empty seating area on MontCo’s campus. Please pray that God fills it with students this semester.
