John Aiello Visits with MontCo Students

This past week, we were joined by John Aiello, the Toronto Blue Jays (Minor League Team) 3rd Baseman. John shared a message with our students. He started out talking about baseball and his passion and desire to be the best player ever. Having played baseball at Germantown Academy and Wake Forest University, he had a lot of accolades, trophies, and popularity. But what was always missing was his relationship with Jesus Christ.

He rekindled his faith through Athletes in Action, which is a branch of Cru that reaches out specifically to athletes. As John spoke, I looked around the room and saw the Montco Mustangs Baseball team leaning in to hear his words of advice. He then did a verse by verse study of Romans 3. The gospel couldn't have been any clearer. I am so thankful for the way God brought him into my life and onto our campus. Looking forward to having John back next semester! For those of the student body that missed his message, the school brought a camera crew and interviewed him after our meeting.  

Please continue to pray for John Aiello as he trains in the off-season and goes back to training camp in early March of 2020. He said he is the only Christian on his team.
