Life is Flying By

How is your summer going? Mine seems to be flying by. I recently read all the crazy things that happen every minute: 116 people get married, 257 babies are born, our heart beats about 80 times, 600 YouTubers post a new video, and 4,500 hungry people eat a McDonald’s burger. If you think life is getting faster, that is because it is.

According to a new report from UK's National Physical Laboratory, the Earth is spinning faster than normal, making days shorter. by 1.59 milliseconds. This might not seem like a big deal but it is significant enough that scientists are warning that if this continues, we will need to adjust our atomic clock by 1 second, similar to the way we have a leap day every four years. Crazy, right?

Maybe this is what Paul is talking about when he says, “Life is but a mist…”

The Fall 2022 college semester is about to start and roughly 20,031,000 students will be moving into dorms and attending classes. We are officially starting campus ministry at Montco, Del Val, and Chestnut Hill College. We are unofficially starting a bible study at Gwynedd Mercy University. This means a lot of moving parts: student schedules, calendared events, and impromptu Gospel presentations. We are looking to provide food each week for our clubs, bibles for new believers and athletes, as well as retreats and small group activities. We are so thankful for your financial support and prayers. The offer always stands: if you want to come and prayer walk a college campus with us, we would love to have you.

Please refer anyone (individual, church, community group, or Sunday school class) that is interested in supporting Collegiate Missions to https://missionaries.namb.net/full/brady-rennix.

We can come to share a presentation about all that happens on the college campus and testimonies to how we are reaching the Gen Z Generation with the good news of Jesus Christ.

"Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil." -Ephesians 5:15-16
