Reach the College Campus – Reach the World!

Here’s the truth – the College Campus is a mission field. Students come from all walks of life, vastly different economic backgrounds, beliefs, religions, countries, world views, politics and lifestyles. If we reach students on the campus with the Gospel (Good News of Jesus Christ), they are then equipped, energized, and empowered to take the Gospel to their homes, work, and communities. College is a time of discovering new things and so we want this next generation that has grown up in a post-Christian culture to discover Jesus for the first time. His love, grace and power will transform their lives to be missionaries where-ever God takes them in the world.

This past year was one for the record books. We never had started the year with a “Zoom” club fair (the place we sign up new students for our Christian club), we never started the year without sports as a rally point, campus-wide outreaches, free giveaways, or praise and worship singing in the quad. But 2020 was different in so many ways.

I am reminded of the Paul’s words of encouragement to the Corinthians: “Therefore, we have this ministry because we were shown mercy, we do not lose heart… we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us” (2 Corinthians 4:1 & 7). What great reminders that our ministry and power come directly from God. I love how Paul uses the word “we” and not “I”. He is referring to the believers around him that are partnering with him. They are supporting him through prayer, giving and involvement: they are the “we” that God has given the ministry to. 

Here is our 2020-2021 College Campus Ministry Report:

• We met 28x as a weekly gathering (bible study, worship and games).

• We had one prayer night and several worship nights.

• We held a zoom Missions Conference with the Traveling team missions ministry.

• We did a two-day Winter Training Conference.

• We attended a Fellowship of Christian Athletes rally night with Tim Tebow.

• We held weekly bible studies for the Delaware Valley Football team and couches. 

• We were present at the one game DVU had, speaking and praying for the team.

• We did several Campus wide Game Nights to meet new students and share the Gospel.

• We Discipled, Prayed for and Encouraged students in their walk with God.

• We rallied students to Serve in their home churches.

• We encouraged students to Share Jesus with their friends and co-workers.

We did all of this via Zoom… only in the last couple of weeks have we been able to meet up with students personally due to Covid restrictions. 

We are thankful for all of you partnering together for this ministry. When we reach the college campus, we reach the world. 

Please continue to pray and support this College Campus Mission/Ministry as we lead summer bible study and activities, train leaders for the fall, do missions work, and plan for Del Val Univeristy, Montco College and Gwynedd Mercy University. 

We hope to reach more campuses but we need more partners, expanding our base so we can expand our network.
