Sharing our Lives as Well!

One of my greatest joys is sharing Jesus with college students. It is closely followed by discipleship and helping students through times of trouble. But not too far from that is sharing the sidelines with family and friends to cheer students on in their gifts and abilities.

Paul told the church in Thessalonica that he was excited to not only share the good news of Jesus but also to share his life because they had become so dear to him. This is true of me and hopefully true of you. When we fall in love with Jesus he gives us His love for others.

At Montgomery County Community College, I go to as many sporting events as possible. With this recent game at Montco between the Mustangs and the Owls, there were no spectators allowed. I kept walking around the walking path that bordered the home plate and just happened to witness one of our students hit a home run. I also got it on video and shared it with him later. His name is Elias and he is featured in this promo picture posted by the college.

I loved being there for him and his teammates. I get to share in his love for baseball and then continue to share Jesus. It was this time two years ago that we brought in a Christian professional baseball player from the Toronto Blue Jays to share his testimony. Elias brought not only his teammates but also one of his coaches to hear the gospel. What are you “sharing in” with those around you? Hopefully, you get to see some home runs too!

Please continue to pray for the Montco baseball and softball teams that they might know the love of Jesus. Thanks for your support and prayers, we are praying for you as well!

"So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us." -Thessalonians 2:8
