With over 250 people being tested for the COVID-19 virus every day at the Montgomery County Community College, we asked for approval to put up support signs. The director of operations was eager to help our vision of support become a reality. Our student ministry created signs which included Bible verses, such as, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5-6), “Cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you” (I Peter 5:7), “You are loved beyond measure” (Romans 8:38), and "I will lift up my eyes to the Lord who made heaven and earth” (Psalm 121:1).

The Director of the PA Emergency Management Agency (COVID-19 test center) loved the signs and the Bible verses but said we would not be able to hang the signs without approval from the college. We went to the college president for approval and she said, "If the students from the college want to share bible verses to support the National Guard, medics, and patients, then we can put up the signs.”

Several college students, our faculty adviser, and I put up 26 support signs with hope, joy, and encouragement from God’s word. We actually made the local news a few days in a row, as they used our signs as the backdrop for their COVID-19 daily updates. We are proud of our Christian students and their willingness to pray and prepare signs of hope for our college campus. Without the global pandemic, we could never have dreamed of putting posters all over campus with God’s word on them.

Thanks for your support for the college ministry! Know that we are still in full swing of evangelism, discipleship, and missions on the university campus. Please pray for all the patients who will see our signs till the end of May at MCCC.
