They say the only thing that remains constant is change: this is certainly true for the Rennix family. We blinked and now Beth and I have three kids in college and one entering high school. We wouldn’t change a thing.

We are about to celebrate 24 years of marriage and are blessed to still be in love. We walk and talk almost every night, which is one of the good things to come from Covid. Beth is still teaching French at Cedarbrook Middle School. During the quarantine, it was fun to hear her teach from our walk-in closet/her classroom.

Madison, our oldest, is a senior at Temple University. She has one more semester of student teaching and God worked it out that she is in Beth’s school district, so they are able to commute together. It has been fun to watch her transition from a student-athlete to a Young Life youth leader and now an elementary school teacher.

Savannah will begin her junior year at Millersville University. She is a starting striker for the soccer team and before Covid, helped her team to the 2nd round of the NCAA Women’s Tournament. This summer she is playing in the WPSL (Women’s Professional Soccer League) with Athena Soccer Club. She also serves at college with Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Navigators ministries.

Jackson just graduated from Phil-Mont Christian Academy as the class president and a member of the National Honor Society. He is heading to Temple University’s Fox School of Business. We are so excited that he is staying close to home in Philadelphia. This summer he started lifeguarding on the Ocean City, NJ Beach Patrol.

Lastly, Dakota, our youngest, is starting high school in the fall. During Covid, she retired from gymnastics and now has become a two-sport athlete and at fourteen just got her first job at a local bakery.

I share all of this in humility and complete recognition that God’s blessing on our family is real. We are so blessed to also have all of you as extended friends and family. I Thessalonians 2:8 says, “We were glad to share not only God’s good news with you but also our very lives because we cared for you so much.”
