This is Bamjo Bannavti, Captain of the Del Val Football team.

We love the Greater Philadelphia area in the summer season. Within 90 minutes you can be in the Poconos hiking and biking or at the Jersey shore swimming and surfing. Not to mention all the great history and places to see in downtown Philadelphia. As we rest and rejuvenate from the spring semester and/ or plan for the fall term, the in-between time is spent developing and discipling student leaders. We are excited to have quite a few quality students that are ready to learn and serve. Here are a couple of things we talked about….

First, core convictions. We want students to glorify God through their biblical faithfulness, fervent prayer life, walking in the Spirit, proclaiming the Gospel, making disciples, and advancing the church. Also, we instill core values that help us work together as a team. There are 5 values: humility, accountability, integrity, transparency, and sensitivity to race, gender, and culture. Lastly, we talk about relationships, communication, accepted leadership, effective processes, and strategy. This is a lot to cover in about 8 weeks and some spills over into late August, the beginning of the fall semester, but it's worth it.

Will you pray for this fall’s leadership team:

  • Montgomery County Community College: Philip W., Leo N., & Caroline C.

  • Del Val University: Bamjo B., Jack H., & Khashad G.

  • Chestnut Hill College: Colby S.

Thanks so much - if you have time to grab coffee or prayer walk on campus, please give me a call. I would love to set something up. Praying for God’s best in your life this summer!
