Thanking God for the Wins

As many of you know, I am a diehard Philadelphia fan. While the Eagles were popular during the 2017 season, when we won the Super Bowl, we have taken a lot of abuse this year. I have to admit, it is tough to cheer for a team that is so banged up and loses often by a few points... but Philly is my city and the Eagles are my team.

The year 2020 has a lot of us feeling banged up. We are looking for a few wins (like beating the Giants, sorry Bert Bruce) and maybe a few extra points. Thankfully, in the college campus world, we got a few wins this week:

  1. At Montgomery County Community College, we are allowed to do a campus wide virtual game night where the school invited the entire student body and gave us $150 in gift cards to give away as incentives. We are so excited to be able to connect with new students and share the gospel during this event.

  2. At Delaware Valley University, I received this message from the head coach of the football team after our bible study this week: “Thanks so much Brady, that was really good, really good, I appreciate it greatly... It means a lot, and selfishly I know it’s good for me. I want more guys to get involved. I will talk tomorrow with one of the leaders to spread the word again.” It is amazing to hear these words of affirmation from the head coach of a big program (120 guys). I love to see God working in the hearts and lives of the coaches and the students at Del Val.

I hope this encourages you to take your wins where you can find them, and that you keep leaning in and asking God for His will.

Thanks so much for your partnership, friendship, prayers, and support!
