As college students focus on taking exams, I can now focus on learning new strategies for reaching college students. I was really excited to join 500+ other collegiate missionaries in Nashville for the 2021 Collegiate Summit.

This week has been an exciting time of learning and growing. Here are a few of the workshops and seminars I was able to attend:

  • Disciple making in the context of abundant evangelism

  • 5 shifts for growing campus ministries

  • Dangers of leading a powerless life in perilous times

  • Rethinking evangelism and apologetics in light of Generation Z

  • Gen Z: now what?

  • Staying in the struggle

My main goal is to grow in understanding of the next generation. I want to be able to answer the questions that they are actually asking. I desire to expand our social media influence. I hope to share the Gospel in more visual ways that Gen Z-ers and Alpha Gen’s can connect with and understand. All of this is a bit daunting but necessary.

Thanks so much for your encouragement and support to do everything we can so that students know the love of Jesus. The next time I see or talk to you, please ask me about what I have learned so you can grow in this area as well.

Please pray for students in the next week or so as they finish up this semester. Pray for them to be able to take exams to the best of their ability, to accept grace, and be kind to themselves. Pray for their summers, that they would be able to find summer jobs and be able to live life for God’s glory this summer.
