When I was asked to come share our local college campus ministry with 80,000 people in the listening audience, I was a little intimidated. I prepared for almost 2 weeks for what I was going to say and how I was going to present the ministry. I definitely needed to be more detailed since most people have no idea or know very little about campus ministry.
I had many, many examples of college students who changed the world: Ludwig Van Zizendorf, John Wesley, William Carey, Hudson Taylor, C.T. Studd and Grace Wilder, just to name a few (upcoming post will provide details about these and more). I was intentional about sharing that this ministry is self funded and in need of church partnership and volunteers to make a lasting difference. I had 11 pages of notes.
However, when the mic turned on, I just spoke from my heart. I was told it went well and was promised another visit to the radio station. There was so many more stories and things I wished I would have said. I do look forward to any time I can share what God is doing and how we can get involved. If your church spotlights local missions/ministries, please send them my information. Thanks so much!

Don't be too critical:) It is tougher than you think!
