What is Christianity?

Last week we had a "pastor" come on campus with hate signs and megaphones. This pastor heckled every student going by and called students horrible names. One of our regular students has autism, and she asked me why they called her the "child of Satan," because she is autistic. Heartbreaking.

This guy goes onto every major college campus in the area and basically says the same thing. He mixes in a little bit of bible truth, but does it in a very hate-filled and condemning way. He must not have read Romans 2:4: "Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?"

I love this: the kindness of the Lord leads people to repentance. I wonder if Kanye West, who most recently lived his life as if he was the "chosen one" and now worships Jesus as the chosen one, is leading more people to Jesus than this former bible college student who is making money on lawsuits, hatred, and slander.

Today, we have invited the campus into our weekly group meeting and we are taking a look at this topic. Please keep us in your prayers: we ultimately want to take a good hard look at our own lives as individuals and as a group, and ask ourselves if we are living our lives in such a way that leads people to Jesus.

Thanks so much for your encouragement, support and prayers.
