What's your theme song?

Do you have a theme song for your life, your family, your calling, etc.? I have discovered the perfect theme song for our College campus ministry: "I Speak Jesus" by Charity Gayle.

I am sure you would agree that there is so much brokenness, addiction, and darkness in the world. But thankfully we have Jesus and in His name, there is power, healing, freedom, peace, and love. In the book of Acts, Christ's followers were told not to speak about Jesus and they did it anyway. They experienced beatings and imprisonment as a result. In Luke 19:37-40, the Pharisees asked Jesus to make "the whole multitude of his disciples" to stop rejoicing and praising God saying “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!" Jesus answered, “I tell you, if these were silent, the very stones would cry out.” God has literally put us on the planet to share the name of Jesus.

Just like you and me, college students are desperate for God's peace and love. The problem is that they don't know where to look. We need to show them God's love before we talk to them about God's love. The only way to do this is to be present in their spaces and in their lives. When we do, we see strongholds of addiction broken, we see hope, healing, salvations, and baptisms. You can take joy in that you are a big part of this.  You are with us in prayer, funding, and spirit. God blesses you for your participation as a result. So we are going to continue to "speak the name of Jesus" and you can too.  Don't miss an opportunity to share His love with others.

Please pray as we have students on a Fall Retreat at Camp Hebron this weekend. Pray for traveling mercies, funding for students that want to go, and for leadership as we lead well. Please pray for God's favor as we hang up bible study flyers at Chestnut Hill College. Please pray for the next few weeks of College Football as we continue to reach players with the Gospel.
